Sometimes you stumble across websites and tools that are just plain fun, useful, or weird in the best way. Here’s a short list of some cool things I’ve come across lately or that I actually use daily, such as the tools in the next section. Of course, all of these are free.

A website created by Neal Agarwal, containing many different minigames, sandboxes, quizzes and more.

Windows96.net#

Windows 96 is a web-based operating system copying the style of Windows 9x operating systems and with some humor has created a functioning mock OS that runs in your browser, even capable of installing apps using a package manager. You can even program packages yourself!

Schneegans is a useful website that provides things such as a powerful autounattend.xml generator for Windows 10/11, helping you automize or prepare your Windows system prior to install and getting rid of some annoyances, as well as a guide that lets you install Windows 10/11 without outdated 8.3 file names to prevent issues during operation!

Geek Uninstaller#

A lightweight and portable tool for cleanly removing programs from Windows, including registry entries!

Sysinternals Utilities#

Collection of useful windows administration tools such as Autoruns, giving you fine control over your desktop.

Windows Powertoys#

Even more tweaks offered by microsoft, and useful features such as a start menu alternative similar to MacOS Spotlight and an option to see which program is using a file and to terminate said program if it’s interfering with something you’d like to do.

This helpful windows utility unlocks even further personalization options, even allowing you to uninstall bloatware.
